This is a remarkable book. Not only does it contain poems, but it also offers an impressive panorama of life issues, both good and bad. And the author of these poems, Wayne, knows how to put his many life experiences into words for others to relive them with him. Wayne is an artistic genius, a poetical prodigy.

There is so much hidden behind the lines of his poems. They carry multiple layers. Let the text just lure you into those deeper layers. Poems, well you just can’t read them. You may have to read them again and again. Often you wonder if you have captured the full meaning yet. And Wayne’s poems are no exception. They challenge you to go deeper and deeper, over and over again. You may not even read what you think you are reading.

He calls himself “poetically orphaned as a child,” but he did not want to retire blind. I am grateful for that! He shows in his poems how he has risen above his many pains and hardships, love and rejection – you name them. He certainly did not have an easy life. But it’s poetry that helped him to overcome these obstacles. And he uses his poetic words to help you overcome your own struggles and turn them into ultimate success, thus making you the master of your own destiny. That’s what poetry can do.
