“Bleeding Heart”
The Poetic Orphan

I don’t know how to express,
All of my heartache and distress,
When I’m away from you,

True, it takes a minute or two,
To get myself together, again,
As I, remember the good times, with you,

Can I fit this, into a rhyme,
Of an epic proportion?
A portion of my heart,
Is intolerably torched,

My heart is just bleeding,
Every time that I’m close,
To that one person, I toast,
In my private enclosure,

Closing my weary eyelids,
As I, reminisce on the tides,
Every single time that she cried,
While I was listening,

Every single time, that I tried,
To convince her, passionately,
How beautiful she is, inside,

I guess, I’ve just realized,
What it must feel like,
To be paralyzed, for life,
Imagine the torture, and strife,
Times a million, with knives,
